DRAWING
Starting to draw is the fundamental step in creativity. The course is aimed to introduce you to the art of drawing, taking you from sketching, as all genre of artists, whether painters or sculptors, will need to learn the basics of drawing before being able to develop further. Although one may consider that a drawing is an art form on its own, in this course we will combine the initial drawing to continue and become a painting.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
In these workshops you will be introduced to the art of drawing and painting in Acrylics or Watercolours. The workshops will cover the use of:

Art Materials required from the basics to intermediate. These vary according to the workshop selected.

Pencil drawing and understanding shapes, contours, volume and values

The theory of Monochrome & Colour

Painting from Light to Dark

Blending of Tones

Projects in Still Life and Landscape painting. This varies according to the workshop selected.

Duration: 1 Weekly 2hr Session for 10 weeks.
ACRYLIC and WATERCOLOUR
Our workshops specialise in the traditional ways in painting in both Acrylic and Watercolour. Although these two mediums are waterbased, each require specific methods or painting and executing the medium to have the respective result.
At Indigo Arts you will learn in a studio environment, surrounded with fine art by a number of artists whereby one can also have a look at the variety of styles one can also apply with these two mediums.
